Default Mama's Sprinkle Mix

Mama's Sprinkle Mix

4 parts Green stuff:Choose between Alfalfa, Barley, and/or Wheat Grass
1 part Beet Powder
1 part Carrot Powder
1 part Garlic Powder (not salt)
1 part Cayenne Powder

Mix all ingredients together. Keep a small amount in a shaker to sprinkle on foods.
The rest can be frozen for long term storage.
It's best to purchase all organic ingredients at a health food store.

Sounds like it would be good salt-free seasoning on people food too.

Some birds will eat things they might not normally with it sprinkled on the foods. I just updated it to add the Cayenne, so we'll see if that has any noticeable benefits.

Thanks Michelle, I'm going to try that on their Birdie Bread.

If anyone is looking for a good place to buy organic products I really like Barry Farm. They have the Carrot and Beet Powder. Check out the entire online store if you have time. I do a lot of shopping there when I make up the birds dry mix.
