Default Hahn's Macaw (pic)

Here is Jack our Hahn's macaw. He may be a little guy but he thinks he is as big as the rest of the macaws. Jack always tells me good bye when I leave for work.

What a cutie. What is his personality like? I've always heard that minis can be very agressive and are litttle vampires and bond to one person... not so cudly like larger macaws... etc.. and My only real experience is with my best friends 2 severes which live up to that rep. I met an awasome 5 year old Hahns once at a pet store who was a total cuddle bug and I've always been intrigued by them.

Default Sweet loving bird!

We have a lovely Hahn's that we adopted from a breeder who was thinking of letting him go free as he had no value to sell. The reason for this is he has a one eye that is blind and very small due to a birth defect. He is a sweet doll, he loves the whole family and interacts well with my four children, although he clearly loves daddy best. He is still young but took to us very quickly even after being kept away from humans in a cage full of other parrots. He is learning to mimic and he is such a delight, we could not be happier.
