Default Looking for a Cage!

I have been searching for a new cage for Callao. I have found some on e-bay that seem to be reasonably priced, but I just worry about the quality. Do any of you have any brands or vendors that you would recommend?

Thanks!

I have one Cal cage, but the rest of mine are either HQ or the old and new versions of Centurion. Have you checked CL, some people find great deals on there.

It all depends on the destructive ability of you bird, and what quality cage you want. If you want the top of the line, I would suggest Freedom Cages (they are high quality stainless steel cages). Next down the line I would say are Kings Cages, going with thier European line of cages. Past that, it is mostly a toss up as to which of the other companies out there are best. I tend to like HQ best, but A&E has recently upgraded thier models and have done a very good job, so again it is a toss up. I just recently purchased the Kings Cage 506 and love it, very nice quality cage.

The others mentioned Cal Cages, and yes California Cages are excellent, I have 8 of them LOL but they are out of business. So Craigs List or other similar methods are the only way you will find one.

So I guess it boils down to, how much is your budget, what quality do you want and what size for what type of bird LOL. I just love cage shopping, it took me 2 years to pick that Kings Cage, so I know most ins and outs of the various brands out there.

BTW it looks like Centurion is no more too LOL, I thought so as I had never heard of them.

I like the HQ cages pretty well. They seem to hold up pretty good to the big beaks and they're affordable.

Just a warning. Ebay can be a great source for buying things, but make sure that any cage you look at on there lists the manufacturer before you buy. Most of the cages sold on there are economy cages and are not suitable quality.

Good luck with the cage hunt!
