I think Macaws/birds love to play fetch and if that keeps the pinches at bay all the better. You could also try playing peak a boo, then she would get a reaction out of you without the pinch. For foot toys try: balls(fun to throw) and either large plastic nuts and bolts or ss nuts and bolts (most birds like working out the puzzle of getting them apart). If you find she likes to take things apart you can find small containers at the dollar store to fill with small toys that she has to work to get out.

Most of mine are scared of sticks too, that is why I use the plastic milk crate. Have you tried standing on a chair to be more at her level? It might take her dominance away a little.
