Default Has anyone tryed this food

I bought this new food for Darius and I can't believe the stuff its got in it and its all big pieces like whole died figs and large slices of carrot and peas every nut and seed and dried fruit and veggie (hardly no peanuts) that you can think of and of course pellets in shamrock shape also large. Its call BROWNS tropical carnival for big beaks has anybody tryed this food and if so tell me what you think of it Darius loves it he's not big on mixes but this is one that even looks good enough for me to eat yummy

My ex fed it to Zoey before she came here, she no longer gets it because I really don't like colored pellets. I thought it was more of a treat then a regular food.

Ruby doesn't eat pellets at all and isn't big on mixes either. The whole fig part sounds good though! ha! She prefers her items separated. I do buy Higgens Mayan Harvest though. She likes to pick through it sometimes. She says "Hi Darius!".

I have used this mix before. Most of the fids eat it xcept Christal...of course. I think that there are too many sunflower seeds in it for the toos--who end up finishing most of it. god knows THEY don't need the xtra energy. I use Dr. Brown's (?). mostly fruit, some beans, small nuts sparingly w/non-colored pellets. if they earn a big nut treat or i need a bribe, they get it directly from me, not the dispenser.

The Bag I bought doesn' t have coloured pellets just these shamrock shape natural pellets and it doesn't have alot of sunflower seeds either just every thing thats in it is big I saw another bag of stull called the same thing but it was in a different bag and it didn't look the same through the bag. Maybe that was the old mix and they have improved it who knows I find it a pretty good mix all in all

I've given it to mine a few times. They like it, but I don't buy it all the time.
I try to give them enough variety to tempt them to try anything at least once. This morning, I fixed them some organic brown rice cooked with mango chunks. It was a HUGE hit. They didn't come up for air for ten minutes! I tasted it and I'm thinking of serving it to my humans with some grilled chicken or pork chops. mmmmmmmm

Yum it sound pretty tasty to me Also I cook a variaty of things for my birds also I just saw this mix and thought I'd see if they like it But he's only getting it every second or third day like any other mix Iwould much rather them eat fresh fruits and veggies with their pellets and 6 kinds of organic rice and 18 bean mash that has their barley, and oats, pasta, and mixed veggies in it. they also get eggs once a week done different ways sometimes french toast on multi grain bread. or an omlette with broccolli and hot peppers. sometime scrambled I try to feed them a well balanced diet of many different things and it seems to keep them really healthy their yearly check ups always come back A ok touch wood.

I just bought some for Merlin as a treat time snack. He really just likes to rub his beak in it, drop it on the floor, and pick up each piece to then look at me like "you want me to eat the rest of this stuff? Chili peppers... yuck daddy, I don't like those." LOL I don't give him anything that i haven't tried, so i tasted a banana chip and it was gritty. Like it was sand covered. I think that is why he doesn't like it. He will eat homemade banana chips all day long. He does however love the peanuts in the mix. So i think next time I will just buy a bag of mixed nuts instead of Browns.
