Default Acv

How many people use ACV in their Macaws water? How often?

Any good links on the benefits of using it and explaining what kind to use?

We use it several times per week for the birds that dunk everything. I put about 10 drops in a full crock of water to help keep the bacteria down. Should I see one with loose poop or a bit smelly I will put one cap full in their water for a week. Since I do in house fecal and gram stains, I can see what is working and what is not. ACV is works good for a slow crop, and is great for a candida infection. During a fecal and gram once I saw some budding yeast in a slide on Barney our big Buffons, I started the ACV and it went away the next day. ACV has many benificial properties, everyone needs to do a little research on the net.

I have to use it in Peabodi's water for several days at a time monthly. I use about half a teaspoon in her 30 oz water crock.

I have used it before on the 5 days in a row cycle as a yeast preventative. I still do that every once in a while here. I know of some people who do this cycle with the ACV once a month.

I use the same mix as Gary does, except I mix up a larger batch in a gallon jug as I have a bunch of birds to give it to.

I might also mention that you want to buy the Apple Cider Vinegar with "the mother" in it. Bragg is the brand name that is usually available. Bragg Live Foods, Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar, Bragg Liquid Aminos,Systemic Enzymes, Bragg Live Organic Food Products, Patricia Bragg, Paul Bragg, Bragg Organic Olive Oil, Bragg Salad Dressings, Bragg Seasonings, Bragg Health Products

I use it for mine approx 1 time a month and do it for about a week. I use 1 tsp vinegar to their water bowls (for the big birds) and scale down for the other various sizes.
