Default Want to meet a black headed caique?
Well please meet Lu Belle...she is my three year old BH caique. A caique is known as the 'clowns' of the bird world...and let me tell you...they deserve that title! Lu Belle is such a little stinker but is adorable as all heck and wormed herself into my hear the first day I met her. She tests EVERYONE she meets by biting them...if they react badly she hates them

Caiques do this thing called 'shirt surfing' where they rub they entire body into your shirt...managed to get a few pics of her being silly:

CUTE! I have a friend with 2 white thighed and one black headed caiques. You're not kidding about that rubbing thing they do! I swear, the male white thighed caique would spend all day rub-rub-rubbing. I'm surprised he hasn't worn his feathers down to the quills :-). Her black-headed caique is a meany-head, though. Didn't even like her previous owner!

She's adorable!!! I just love it when they lay on their back. I have one of each and they always amuse me with their antics.
