Kimberly in Southern Arizona

2. Family and flock
A husband as crazy as me, 5 kids (only one teen left to fly the coop) 1 hyacinth, 1 B&G, 1 GW, 1 Harlequin, 1 Fiesta (5th generation hybrid) 2 SI Eclectus and an 11 year old spoiled Rottweiler lap dog. Oh.. and Saltwater fish & coral and a leopard Tortoise.

3. What do you do for a living?
Owner of a Medical Transcription company.

4. What are your (other!) hobbies?
Photography…of my fids of course! (and anyone or anything else that is willing) My albums are kept here… newimagedocuments's photos and albums on webshots

5. Share something interesting about you.
I am able to carry on a more intelligent conversation with a macaw than with a human!

6. How long have you been keeping birds?
Only 5 years… but jumped in with both feet!

7. What sparked your interest in them?
After rescuing countless baby doves, pigeons, peacocks, etc. that my human kids would bring home each year only to return them back to the wild with tears streaming down my face, I finally decided it was time to have a fid (or 7) that could stay with us and share our lives forever!

Pat, you are an extremely strong woman to have gone through that suffering.

Default My new B & G

Hi, my name is Sharon and I am in Jacksonville, Florida. We are going to get Marley a 2 1/2 y.o. B & G on Sunday, March 21st. We adopted through a rescue. We are currently the owners of a Patagonian Parrot, Ollie that we rescued as well.

I am very excited to get this new bird. Cannot wait until Sunday. As for now I am reading all that I can on the breed, food, behavior and so forth. We have spoken with our avian vet and they are going to support us as well.

That's all for now;

Sharon

Talking

Name- James and Paula

Location- Athens GA, soon to be Las Vegas NV

Family and flock- total children 7 combined (two passed away, one boy and one girl) two grown sons, three daughters(two live with exwife and one lives with us.
1-B&G Hannah
1-new baby Green Wing boy Howie
1-Noble Macaw Yoda
1-CAG CJ (Captain Jack)
1-U2 Jenny Lee "Lee" (used to be General Lee but laid an egg)
1-Sun/Dusky Conure Stimpy

work- Union Pipefitter, Paula is a Medical Assistant

Other Hobbies- Graphics Design/ Art /photography

the interesting thing about us is the fact that we are animal lovers and over the last six years have really gotten into birds, all my life I have been into Cockatiels and have always kept an eye open for loose/flying free Cockatiels and have captured many and have taken them in and given them a home, about 90% of them were already tame and I have reunited several of them back to their owners, all this happened in Santa Barbara CA (my hometown)
In 2004 we started out with a few conures and then we got into larger birds with our CAG and U2, two years ago we stepped up and took the plunge into Macaw ownership and have not looked back, unless you have had a macaw in your life I cannot explain it to you becasue you wouldn't understand the relationship with a macaw if you haven't experienced it for yourself.
